Consult Cadence Solutions is an independent education and program advisory practice supporting NJ schools, charter networks, and community-based organizations on the work that actually moves students and families forward.
Consult Cadence was founded in 2019 to bring building-level school leadership experience to the schools and community organizations that need it most. The work is practical, not theoretical. We come in alongside your team, listen to what is actually happening, and help you move forward with a plan that fits the reality of your building or program.
Engagements are designed around the client's question, not around a packaged service. Some are short consultations. Some are multi-month program reviews. All of them are grounded in the same conviction that what matters in education and community work is not what gets written down. It is what actually happens with the kids and families on the ground.
Each engagement draws from twenty-plus years of leadership across NJ public schools, special services districts, charter operations, statewide programs, and community partnerships.
Advisory and hands-on support for school leaders navigating day to day building operations, instructional supervision, master scheduling, and the practical work of running a school. Particularly suited to new principals, schools in transition, and schools building out their administrative teams.
Independent program reviews and compliance support for schools and programs serving NJ students. Includes fidelity-of-implementation assessment, gap analysis against NJ DOE and federal regulations, corrective action planning, and technical assistance for school leaders working through audits or improvement requirements.
Job-embedded coaching for teachers and instructional leaders. Coaching cycles built around honest observation, conceptual feedback, and gradual release. Professional development designed to actually change classroom practice, not check a box. Especially effective for schools building out coaching infrastructure or supporting struggling teachers.
Advisory and program support for community-based organizations, TANF programs, and other agencies serving economically disadvantaged families. Brings school-side perspective on what families navigate before, during, and after the school day, and on what makes school-community partnerships actually work for kids.
Consult Cadence has worked across multiple corners of the NJ education and family services landscape. The breadth is the point. So is the depth.
Traditional district schools at the building and program level, including high-poverty urban districts, suburban districts, and special services districts.
Standalone charters and charter networks across NJ and PA, including early-college charter models and schools serving traditionally underserved populations.
Nonprofits and CBOs delivering programming to children, youth, and families, particularly those serving economically disadvantaged communities.
Temporary Assistance for Needy Families programs and adjacent family service agencies working with families navigating housing, employment, and educational instability.
The work has to fit your building, your program, your families. Engagements are designed around those realities. Here is what that looks like in practice.
The first engagement step is almost always a structured listening period with leadership, staff, and where appropriate, families. The plan that emerges has to fit your reality. Plans built without that listening are the plans that sit in drawers.
Real change starts with naming what is actually happening. Not the polished narrative leadership wants to believe, and not the worst-case fears either. Just the honest read of the data and the practice on the ground. Then we build from there.
The measure of a good consulting engagement is what holds after we leave. We design every engagement so that your team owns the work by the end of it. If you still need us to maintain it, we did not do the job well.
Consult Cadence is intentionally small. Engagements are led by the principal consultant, not handed off to a junior team. You get twenty-plus years of experience working on your problem directly, and continuity across the full engagement.
Twenty-plus years in NJ public education across teaching, building administration, district leadership, and program operations. Nine years as a Vice Principal in Trenton Public Schools. Four years as Principal of Burlington County Special Services School District, supervising 200+ staff serving students with autism, multiple disabilities, and complex learning needs.
Subsequent system-level work has included Director of Student Support Services for a statewide virtual public school program, school operations leadership at a Philadelphia charter, and Educational Specialist and Compliance Monitor for Foundations Inc. conducting program reviews across NJ schools.
Founded Consult Cadence Solutions in 2019 to bring practical school leadership experience to the schools and community organizations that need it. Continues to consult while pursuing parallel work in cloud and systems technology, which informs how he advises clients on educational technology and AI integration.
